Sanjana is a behavioral scientist by training. She completed her MPH in 2016 and is currently a PhD Candidate at Northwestern University. Her research focuses on designing FemTech solutions to improve women's health "below the belt." Sanjana is an Indian immigrant and a proud Iowan. She was first introduced to Hatha and Bhakti Yoga through her grandparents. Growing up, she also received classical training in Bharathanatyam, a South Indian dance form that combines intricate footwork, facial expressions, and mudras to depict ancient Hindu spirituality. For Sanjana, yoga extends off the mat. It is an intuitive practice that allows her to stay grounded in her cultural and religious roots. She was a dedicated yogi at Studio Three before completing her 200hr teacher training at Yogaview in 2019. Now, Sanjana proudly assumes the seat of the teacher at her home studio. She hopes to share her deep passion for yoga through creatively curated playlists, and self-soothing flows that genuinely allow her students to connect and let go.
