Kim has always had a passion for human movement. She grew up a dancer and was exposed to strength training from a young age when her dad would bring along to the gym. After attending undergrad at the University of Illinois, she pursued a masters degree in occupational therapy and worked in a variety of settings, focusing on neurological rehabilitation as well as pain management. Kim was drawn to the community aspect and energy of group fitness and became a certified trainer in 2014. It wasn't until Kim was injured after running a marathon that she refocused and really fell in love with strength training. She is dedicated to coaching proper body mechanics and form to gain confidence to lift some heavy stuff. Kim coached at Studio Three River North in 2016, and after a brief move out of state, she is so excited to be back in Chicago and part of the S3 fam!
