As a former dancer and a future physical therapist, movement has been one of the most important part's of Kat's life since the beginning! A native of Chicagoland, she started working in the fitness industry while in college pursuing a dance degree and has been in it ever since. Teaching always felt like the real goal after many years in "behind the desk" fitness operations (including as Front Desk and Assistant Manager at S3!) and sharing her love for movement with others felt like an opportunity too perfect not to pursue. One of Kat's core beliefs is that exercise is for any and all people, and making fitness fun and accessible is important to her as an instructor. Kat has almost 1,000 hours of combined training across a variety of formats, and this diverse knowledge makes itself known in every class.
Q: What can we expect on your class playlist?
Rap, hip hop, EDM, throwbacks, and probably at least one Run the Jewels song
Q: Where can we find you outside of class?
Probably out on a walk in Pilsen with my red Siberian husky, Jack! If not in our neighborhood, then probably seeking out the closest delicious burger or pasta from a restaurant, beloved or brand new.
Q: Guilty pleasure?
Pizza-flavored Pringles. I have zero shame.
