April grew up in Highland Park, IL where she devoted her life to dancing Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz. She then attended the Dominican University of California where she completed the Alonzo King LINES Ballet BFA program in San Francisco. As a dancer, April experienced bits of yoga here and there, but it was in the Bay Area where she established a regular practice and passion for yoga. In addition to dance, April also spent a lot of time in her father’s boxing gym where she developed an athlete’s mentality and love for training “like an athlete” with weights, cardio/ interval drills etc. In 2016, April completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training abroad in Fiji through Yoga Works. April’s vinyasa style classes combine athletic dynamic movement, dance-like fluidity and an emphasis on alignment. April looks forward to building more connections, learning from and contributing to the Chicago yoga community!
