Alana Woolf

Talent Lead, Cycle
Austin
Cycling
Fact: Alana Woolf took her first cycling class in 2013 and hated it. The competitive part of herself really wanted to excel, so she started working out at her apartment gym and returned two months later for class number two. The rest is history. Over the next year and a half, she fought her way from the back row to the podium. Along the way, she become the role model she needed, which included monumental lifestyle changes like developing a healthy relationship with food and quitting smoking. “If you’re doing something you enjoy - it’s easy,” she says. “I continued cycling because I loved it. I tried to create the experience that I wanted to have so I could pay it forward. If you love something, it’s not hard to make those changes for yourself. Your priorities shift.” Prior to working in fitness, Alana was a DJ and also worked in high-end women’s fashion. Both elements are a through-line for her style as an instructor and as S3's Cycle Talent Lead. She views the Cycling profession as part performance, so she employs her previously honed skills to enhance the class experience.
