PILATES TEACHER TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

CHICAGO
PILATES

Years Teaching:
14 years

Certifications:
I have completed over 1,000 hours of barre and mat Pilates training across both classical and contemporary methodologies, with additional focus in pre- and postnatal care, advanced cueing and corrections, anatomy and adaptable regressions. I am also a Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSCI), Usui Reiki II practitioner and RYT-200, with a 300-hour yoga teacher training currently in progress.

Teaching Philosophy:

As someone who was never a natural athlete and spent much of my life in a mid or plus sized body, fitness often felt inaccessible to me. It didn’t look or feel like it was meant for me. That shifted in the early 2010s when I found a teacher who focused on how movement feels, not how it looks. When I stopped trying to change my body and instead learned to connect with it, I discovered strength, confidence and a deeper appreciation for myself.

That experience shapes how I teach today. While it may look like I’m teaching a plank, I’m really teaching students how to experience and trust themselves. Trust is at the center of my approach. I design strong, empowering programs so students leave feeling capable and proud of their effort, never defeated. Every exercise I teach, I once learned as a beginner, and I use that perspective to build empathy and connection. My goal is for every student to leave with a greater appreciation for their body and a deeper belief in what they’re capable of.

Motivation to be part of YTT:

Teaching, mentoring and supporting others is at the core of who I am. As the eldest of three sisters, it’s something I’ve been doing my whole life. While I love leading group fitness classes, training and mentoring new teachers has allowed me to create the most meaningful impact and build some of my closest community connections.

I believe my purpose is to support others through shared knowledge, encouragement and compassion. Outside of the studio, I run a spiritual self-care collective focused on helping people live more authentic and aligned lives through human design coaching, intuitive guidance, energy healing and community connection. Since joining Studio Three in 2024, I’ve felt incredibly welcomed by the community, and leading Mat Pilates Teacher Training feels like a natural opportunity to give back.

Other Skills I Bring to Your Training:

My background is both creative and analytical, which allows me to support trainees from multiple angles. I hold a BA in Theatre, which helps me guide instructors in developing their voice, storytelling and facilitation skills to create engaging and dynamic class experiences. I also have a BS in Mathematics with a focus in applied physics, which allows me to break down movement through a mechanical lens, helping trainees understand how force, load and stability influence the body and build stronger neuromuscular connections.

I also bring deep experience in the boutique fitness industry. I spent a decade helping grow a multi-million dollar barre brand and later served as an operations and marketing advisor to leading boutique fitness companies. As a former Founding Trainer and Director of Talent, I have trained and certified hundreds of instructors and instructor trainers and I understand how to develop the skills that make exceptional teachers. As a former COO, I can also provide insight into the business side of fitness and what drives successful studio growth.

My career began in STEM education, where I trained and facilitated learning experiences in museums. That background allows me to break down complex concepts into clear, approachable ideas and create learning environments that feel engaging, interactive and accessible.
