About DJ Danny Bridge

DJ Danny Bridge

  • Cycling
A product of the NW suburbs, Danny moved to the city the day he graduated from the University of Iowa and began a career in Hospitality. Then came the tragic events of 2005 when the White Sox won the world series and every bar in city of Chicago's internet jukebox was playing Journey - Don't Stop Believing... on repeat. Driven to absolute madness, Danny switched the jukebox off, plugged his laptop in and his DJ career was born. Today you can find him every 3rd Friday of the month playing Sayre Master's class at Studio Three. "You can expect to hear a mix of the latest hits, definitely a lot of remixes, throwback anthems and probably something unexpected & shameless. I always gotta have a little fun with it." When he's not at Studio Three you can find him playing at Suite Lounge on Wells, Sarah Raskey Fine Art Gallery and the venues supported by his friends at The DJ Firm.

Q: What is your favorite way to decompress?

I like to explore the city with my wife and dog. That's my squad. If I am with them and am in Chicago, then life is good.

Q: What is your secret Chicago retreat?

The lighthouse at the edge of North Avenue Beach. Yes, I know North Avenue Beach is always packed but if you keep running down the path to the lighthouse the noise of the big city is replaced by the sounds of Lake Michigan's waves. The views are stunning, time stands still and moments spend there are priceless.

Q: What is your guilty pleasure?

The Pointer Sisters, Sorry Not Sorry, Jump and I'm So Excited are my jams. So are other 80's Jazzercize anthems. Just give me a retro synth and something around 85 bpm and I will turn that into a modern day Richard Simmons singing into my wife's hairbrush and I don't care what you have to say about it.
